Today’s verse: Psalm 107:1 The Message (MSG)
Oh, thank God—he’s so good! His love never runs out.
Psalm 107 is a wonderful ode to God’s great love. It covers so much of how God has cared for us. I have a printed copy of it hanging on the wall behind my computer. It is a constant reminder for me of how God shows us love.
How do you show and receive love? One of the seminars that I do is a study of the book series based on the 5 Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman. I love to see how excited people get when they discover their love language and the languages of those around them.
I highly recommend you take a few minutes and go to the 5 love languages website:
Take the quiz that applies to you and see how you like to show and receive love. Take some time to think of ways that you have shown love and see how it fits into your quiz results. You can check out the books at the library if you would like to learn more. It is another piece of who you are and how God created you! Self understanding can be so freeing, healing and revealing.
My love language in gifts. When I first read that I thought gifts, gifts, ugh! How awful is that. Then I really spent some time looking at how I show and receive love - and gifts it is. I love to make and give gifts, when I give a little something to others I am so filled with joy. As I sit here at my computer I look around my desk and shelves and they are covered with cards and gifts that were given to me. Reminders of how others cared for me.
What is your love language? Share a little love with it today!
Let me know what you find out!
Peace.
