Today’s verse: Acts 17:24-28 (msg)
“The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn’t live in custom-made shrines or need the human race to run errands for him, as if he couldn’t take care of himself. He makes the creatures; the creatures don’t make him. Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near. We live and move in him, can’t get away from him!
Today I am asking you to do one simple thing. Find God.
Look for God continuously throughout your day. Where do you see Him? Is he in someone’s smile? Is He in the sunshine? Is He in your heart as you look into the eyes of a loved one?
I am reading a book by Gary John Bishop about taking a positive move in your thinking, and in it he says “studies show that we have over fifty thousand thoughts per day”. 50,0000! The majority of talk we participate in is in our heads! The scary question is, what do you spend most of your time thinking about? The answer is... what you choose to.
I am asking you to get out of your head today. Look for the positive, look for God and delight when you find Him.
I invite you to share what you find, comment to this insight, send me an email, journal it, or tell someone. Acknowledging what you see brings joy sharing it brings even more joy!
Peace
