Today’s verse: Isaiah 41:10 msg
"There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you."
I attended an amazing one woman show last Friday evening. The show was an homage to 3 women authors. The women all worked to face their fears and overcome the difficulties that arose in their lives. It was a very enjoyable and thought provoking program. I love stories where people rise above and soar.
Facing fears and overcoming emotions was woven through all 3 of the stories. This got me thinking, How do we achieve this? How do we face our fears, understand our anger and deal with our emotions? How much better would my life be if I could better understand and embrace my emotions?
So many times in our lives we do not acknowledge our feelings, we let our fears guide our actions or stop us from taking any action at all. I know that I am guilty of it.
As much as I like to say keep a positive attitude and look on the bright side. Sometimes we have to take a good look at who we are and what is really guiding our actions.
What I am asking you today is, how are you feeling? What fear, or other emotions get in the way of you being amazing?
Think about it, really look inward. If you need help, ask for it.
And never forget God's words:
"There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you."
Peace
